About ChardZ
Jahdai created ChardZ in 2018, inspired by a love of chess that began in childhood.
At just eight years old, he was introduced to chess by an elderly lady named Daphne. Daphne was incredibly warm, patient, and kind. She was the kind of person who made you feel welcome the moment you sat down beside her. She taught with encouragement, gentle humour, and a genuine belief in Jahdai’s potential. Her friendly spirit made learning chess feel exciting rather than intimidating, and those early lessons became the foundation of his passion for the game. It felt like he had won the Olympics when he finally checkmated her.
Although Daphne has since passed away, her kindness and influence live on through Jahdai and the game he created. She is never forgotten.
For Jahdai, chess has always represented more than strategy. It embodies creativity, discipline, and connection. Over time, he dreamed of building something that captured the brilliance of chess while making it accessible and enjoyable for everyone. That vision became ChardZ.
In 2025, Jahdai partnered with his brother Jonan to officially launch ChardZ, driven by one mission:
To share the joy and sense of connection that chess gave him with everyone.
